Shelter Care for Kids is a licensed emergency shelter serving 1-12 year old children coming from crisis and traumatic experiences. Our program is designed to provide an environment in which children are safe, cared for and respected.
Located in Minneapolis, Shelter Care for Kids serves children from all over Hennepin County, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. When a child’s world turns up-side-down, Shelter Care is there to provide a warm bed, meals, clothing and structure to their chaotic lives. Our staff assist children with issues of self-esteem, setting boundaries, family communica-tion, feelings, managing stress, schedules and routines, safety and most of all building HOPE.
